NGWA National Association USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization based in Brooklyn, NY, dedicated to advancing human and cultural development within the Ngwa community. Since its founding in 1986, the organization has committed approximately $600,000 to impactful projects through direct engagement and strategic partnerships with institutions across the United States and Nigeria. The organization operates several key initiatives that address critical community needs. The Village Primary School Initiative focuses on rehabilitating educational infrastructure in Nigeria, ensuring quality learning environments for students. The NGWA Education and Outreach Foundation provides academic scholarships and recognition for achievement to students of Ngwa descent in both Nigeria and the diaspora, fostering educational excellence across generations. The NGWA Tricycle Project, administered in partnership with the SDA Church Committee, addresses mobility challenges for physically disabled individuals in Ngwa communities. Additionally, since 2015, NGWA National Association USA has been developing the Ngwa Unity Complex in Osisioma Ngwa, Aba, Nigeria—a comprehensive facility designed to house cultural, educational, skills acquisition, and healthcare services. Serving the Brooklyn, NY community and beyond, the organization unites Ngwa people across North America and worldwide, promoting social, educational, cultural, and economic advancement while fostering positive relationships between Ngwa communities and other groups throughout the United States and internationally.
