As one of the four (4) Nigeria's diplomatic representation in the United States of America, the Consulate General of Nigeria, New York, has amongst its mandate, protection of its nationals, rendering consular services, and promoting economic relations with the United States of America. The Consulate is located at 828 second Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Since its establishment, sixteen (16) Consul Generals have served in the Mission. Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in New York was established with a mandate to serve Nigerians and the interest of Nigeria in the United States of America. The diplomatic mission also referred to as "Nigeria House", serves a jurisdiction encompassing the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nebraska, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Vermont, and Pennsylvania. Passports and official visa applications can be made through this mission

The Consulate is the converging point for all Nigerians and aims to serve Nigerians in the United States, as well as other citizens of the United States who may wish to avail themselves of its services in various areas of interests and endeavors. The Consulate serves the following U.S. states and territory: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. The Consulate-General aims to improve Consular services, communications, and trade-relations between Nigeria and the United States. Additionally, we hope to foster understanding, and cordial relations with government, community, Nigerian citizens, and people of the United States to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York is a Diplomatic Mission that represents Nigeria at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It aims to facilitate Nigeria's relations with member states on issues touching on cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, civil rights, civil liberties, political freedoms, democracy, and the achievement of lasting world peace.
